Good Trailer, Bad Film (Part 1)
Ever seen a trailer that looks AMAZING, then actualy watched the film and thought; ‘Oh my god! How can this be THIS crap?!’ This is a small feature warning you….
Part 1: Wild Wild West (1999)
If you grew up watching ‘FRIENDS’ on VHS like me, then you will remember the constant Wild Wild West trailer at the start of every video. I must admit i quite enjoy the trailer, great music, good clips, action, kissing, fire, Will Smith. Looks like a great film right? Wrong. After a good friend said that he had never seen it, and with it being the 15th most expensive film made (as of 2007) we decided to sit and watch it. The script was awful, many many ‘Goofs’ that we noticed without even looking on IMDB and to top it off, high amounts of racism. It is unbeliveable that this film took just over $220 Million at the box office, on a budget of $170 Million. Just going to show am awful film can do well at the box office. A totaly unbelievable plot, but quite good performances from Kevin Kline, and Will Smith. Please, please let me remake this, i think it could be alot, lot better, but the whole script would have to be scrapped. infact, the whole film would have to be scrapped aswell. Dont watch this, unless you want to waste an hour and 50 minutes of your life. I have watched it, and would rather have watched the trailer 100 times instead.
