Toy Story 3
Toy Story 3 (2010) - I was away in America recently and managed to see a few decent films. And by far the best was the third instalment of the best animated franchise ever created (soon to be included in 1st annual Lewis Walker awards) ‘Toy Story’. I had to be picky and pay $25 for a ticket to see it in IMAX 3D, but if you have the chance to do this also? FOR GOD’S SAKE DO IT! It was single handely the best animated film i have ever seen at the cinema. Bear in mind that i’ve seen ‘Up’ ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Toy Story’. The animation is second to none, being crystal clear, and at times it left me with my mouth open. The third set of characters to enter the Toy Story legends group are Lotso-hugs, the big purple teddy bear who smells like strawberrys, Ken, the slighty homo-sexual doll, and of course Barbie, everybody’s favourite blonde icon, that isn’t miss Monroe of course. These characters are larger than life creations that make the film so much better. Throughout the laughs keep on coming, with a personal highlight being that of Spanish Buzz Lightyear, pardon my french, being bloody genius. If you were like me, i felt that ‘Toy Story 2’ didnt quite do the ‘Toy Story’ sequal enough justice, but this third film, in whats bound to be the final part of the trilogy, is enough to make up for the small imperfections of the second. Overall this has sky rocketed to my favourite film of the last 10 years. But just misses the mark of being better than the original.
5/5 (without a doubt)
