I Pity The Fool Who Dosn’t Pick This Up From HMV For £3 In A Few Months.
The A Team (2010) - Since i first saw the trailer for this remake of a popular american tv show, i was quite excited to see it. Being a normal 18 year old, previously obsessed with James Bond, the action drew me to this film more than any other thing, and lets just say action-packed is a phrase i don’t use lightly. From start to finish the action never stops to take a breath, i just hope the stunt men got paid well, because they deserved it. Unfortunatly for all you women who will be dragged to see this with your boyfriends, the story line is as weak as water. This film could easily be extended into a two parter with just a little more logic. Unfortunatly, at times, the action dosnt make sense, and i quote “You can’t fly no tank fool!”. Exactly. The main 4 are all very good however and i enjoyed the on screen chemistry. However i have a feeling that the director (Joe Carnahan) is trying to please every person in the cinema by adding a little too much topless Bradley Cooper, please man! Your shooting jeeps and cars, not lying on a beach getting a tan! PUT A SHIRT ON! Overall though, breath taking action without much substance makes for an average cinematic experiance. I wouldnt pay £10 to see it again, but i might have to pick it up for a few quid from HMV in future months.
